The opportunity

The Global Business Services (GBS) team at EY is at the forefront of innovation, assisting organizations in their transformation agendas. We specialize in the design, delivery, and enhancement of next-generation GBS and Outsource models, integrating digital capabilities and fostering cross-functional collaboration.

We are looking for a GBS Manager who will play a vital role in executing client engagements across finance, HR, supply chain, procurement, and technology domains. In this key position, you'll collaborate with clients ranging from local businesses to multinational corporations, driving GBS strategy, transformation, and performance improvement initiatives. Your extensive experience in shared services, outsourcing, process optimization, and digital enablement will be instrumental in guiding project teams and working alongside client stakeholders.

This role offers the chance to gain invaluable experience across various sectors, including consumer, energy, health and life sciences, industrial manufacturing, media, and technology.

Your key responsibilities

As a GBS Manager, you will lead project delivery, manage teams, and foster client collaboration while contributing to the evolution of the GBS practice with an emphasis on high-quality outcomes.

You will oversee and drive GBS transformation initiatives in areas such as:

• GBS Strategy & Operating Model Support
• Assist in developing robust GBS operating models across key functions including Finance, HR, IT, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Customer Operations.
• Conduct assessments of maturity and support the creation of roadmaps aligned with organizational priorities.
• Help design process architectures, governance models, service catalogs, and organizational structures.
• Support the development of service management frameworks inclusive of SLAs, dashboards, and continuous improvement tools.
• Sector-Focused Delivery
• Apply insights and best practices across key sectors such as Consumer & Retail, Industrial Manufacturing, Technology, Media & Telecommunications, and Health & Life Sciences.
• Translate industry benchmarks and regulatory requirements into actionable recommendations for clients.
• Cross-Functional GBS Transformation
• Manage multi-process transformation programs that leverage automation, analytics, and technologies like ServiceNow.
• Support transitions and change management across global delivery models.
• Work with digital teams to integrate cutting-edge solutions such as AI, RPA, and intelligent workflows.
• Project Leadership & Client Management
• Oversee day-to-day project execution to ensure quality and timelines are met while maintaining client engagement.
• Lead, mentor, and coach project teams in collaboration with global client stakeholders.
• Organize working sessions and project communications, including leadership updates.
• Practice Development
• Help develop GBS methodologies, tools, and sector-specific offerings.
• Contribute to proposal development and market outreach efforts.
• Mentor junior team members and support capabilities building within the team.
• Thought Leadership
• Contribute insights and content regarding emerging GBS trends related to AI, global talent models, and enterprise service management.
• Participate in forums and events to share your expertise.

Skills and attributes for success

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly.
• Proficient in managing project workstreams and ensuring deliverables meet expectations.
• Demonstrated experience in leading teams and facilitating internal and external initiatives.
• Effective at managing time, budgets, and project risks, ensuring high-quality outcomes.

To qualify for the role, you must have

• A bachelor’s degree with approximately 5-7 years of related work experience or a master's degree with around 4-6 years in similar roles.
• Experience in finance advisory services focusing on operating model design and performance management.
• Experience supporting or managing Finance Transformation or ERP initiatives.
• Proven track record of leading teams and delivering workstreams effectively.

Ideally, you'll also have

• An advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or Operations.
• Relevant certifications, such as CPA, would be beneficial.
