Overview
We are seeking a versatile individual to join our team as an E-commerce Web and Graphic Designer. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for creating visually appealing and functional websites, with a focus on e-commerce solutions. The successful candidate will have experience in basic web development, e-commerce management, and graphic design, particularly with the BigCommerce platform.
Responsibilities
- Web Development:
- Design, develop, and maintain responsive websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Implement and customize e-commerce functionalities specifically on BigCommerce platforms.
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and optimize websites for speed and scalability.
- E-commerce Management:
- Manage product listings, categories, and user experience on the e-commerce site.
- Integrate payment gateways, manage inventory, and handle order processes.
- Analyze user behavior and optimize site performance based on analytics.
- Graphic Design:
- Create engaging visual content including banners, logos, product images, and promotional materials.
- Work closely with marketing teams to produce designs that align with brand guidelines.
- Utilize graphic design software like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar tools.
- Collaboration:
- Work with content writers, SEO specialists, and other team members to ensure cohesive and effective online presence.
- Provide technical support and user training for the website as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in web development with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work.
- Familiarity with BigCommerce or similar e-commerce platforms.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript; knowledge of PHP or other back-end languages is a plus.
- Solid understanding of SEO principles and web usability standards.
- Experience with graphic design tools and a keen eye for design aesthetics.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical team members.
Nice to Have
- Experience with other e-commerce platforms like Shopify or WooCommerce.
- Knowledge of UI/UX design principles.
- Understanding of digital marketing strategies.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, Computer Science, or related field is preferred, but not mandatory if experience is substantial.

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
