Social Media Content Creator & Marketing Manager (Hybrid, Part-Time)

About Us

Con Azúcar Café is a Mexican-inspired coffee shop rooted in culture, community, and authentic hospitality. As we expand into Los Angeles County, we're looking for a creative, motivated Social Media Content Creator & Marketing Manager to help grow our brand, strengthen community connections, and bring our story to life online and on the ground.

Position Overview

This hybrid role is ideal for someone who is creative, proactive, and hands-on. You will lead social media content creation while supporting marketing strategy, ground marketing, and event coordination. This role requires someone who takes initiative and is comfortable being both behind the camera and out in the community.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media & Content Creation

  • Create engaging content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and other platforms
  • Capture high-quality photos and videos in-store, at events, and in the community
  • Edit short-form video content using CapCut
  • Design graphics, flyers, and social content using Canva
  • Plan, schedule, and manage content calendars
  • Write captions that align with our brand voice and culture
  • Track engagement, trends, and performance analytics

Marketing & Brand Growth

  • Support marketing strategy and brand awareness initiatives
  • Assist with promotions, launches, and seasonal campaigns
  • Help with email marketing, signage, and in-store marketing materials

Ground Marketing & Community Engagement

  • Execute grassroots marketing efforts in the Sylmar and surrounding areas
  • Build relationships with local schools, businesses, and community organizations
  • Represent Con Azúcar Café at local events, pop-ups, and activations

Event Coordination

  • Assist with planning and execution of in-store and off-site events
  • Coordinate vendors, performers, and promotional efforts
  • Support grand openings, fundraisers, and community events

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in social media content creation and marketing
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
  • Strong experience using CapCut and Canva
  • Familiarity with additional tools such as Meta Business Suite, Instagram/TikTok analytics, Google Drive, and basic photography/video tools
  • Creative, self-motivated, and takes initiative
  • Experience with ground marketing and event coordination
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Experience in coffee, food, or hospitality industry a plus
