Lead Project Manager, Digital Engineering Solutions

CDM Smith is excited to invite applications for the position of Lead Project Manager to guide our Digital Engineering Solutions team. In this vital role, you will play a key part in shaping the digital transformation of our company by defining our long-term product vision, strategy, and roadmap.

We are looking for a project management professional who has a track record of delivering projects on time, within scope, and on budget, while supporting our business objectives. As a member of our Digital Engineering Solutions team, you will also engage in research and development, encouraging innovative ideas across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently oversee project completion while promoting collaboration within the team.
• Lead initiatives aligned with the team's mission and core values.
• Engage diverse stakeholders from engineering and architectural backgrounds to align projects with strategic goals.
• Efficiently manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
• Collaborate with senior management and stakeholders to develop project scope, goals, deliverables, and risk management strategies.
• Create and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, while proactively overseeing scope and financial changes.
• Identify risks throughout the project lifecycle and implement effective mitigation strategies.
• Timely address project obstacles, escalating issues as necessary to keep projects on track.
• Ensure high-quality outcomes throughout the project delivery process and maintain established standards.
• Closely monitor the project budget to effectively manage cost variations.
• Facilitate clear and ongoing communication with leadership, clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to keep them updated on project progress and resolve challenges.
• Lead cross-functional project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Work closely with product leads and delivery managers to ensure project objectives are met.
• Document project plans, KPI reports, and maintain comprehensive records throughout the project lifecycle.
• Stay informed about emerging technologies to effectively address industry challenges.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• At least 7 years of project management experience.
• Additional relevant experience may substitute for a college degree.
• Willingness to travel domestically and/or internationally as required by project needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or business.
