Summary of Position Responsibilities

The Transformation Healthcare INC (THI) Driver is a dedicated and reliable professional who ensures that clients get the best care possible. Drivers are responsible for transporting clients or handling deliveries in a timely manner. Driver responsibilities include arranging regular cleaning and maintenance services for the vehicle and planning each route based on road and traffic conditions. Ultimately, you will help us increase customer satisfaction, making sure clients depend on us for their transportation needs. You must have and maintain a valid driver's license and a clean driving record with no traffic violations.

Duties

• Transport clients and/or packages to and from destinations
• Run errands as needed
• Arrive at destinations on schedule
• Fulfill administrative needs, like office pickups
• Pick up clients from the place and at the time scheduled
• Assist clients with loading and unloading their luggage
• Listen to traffic and weather reports to stay up to date on road conditions
• Adjust the route to avoid heavy traffic or road constructions, as needed
• Answer clients' questions about the area and local places of interest
• Research and plan for traffic, construction and weather delays
• Use navigation applications to determine the best route
• Always interact with clients professionally
• Ensure that the vehicle is always fueled and ready for use
• Ensure the car seats are clean and comfortable for all riders
• Schedule regular car service appointments and report any issues
• Book car wash and detailing services to maintain the interior and exterior cleanliness of the car
• Keep mileage records and repair records up to date
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

Education and Skills

• Proven experience as a Driver
• A valid driver's license
• A clean driving record
• Minimum visual acuity of 20/50 (or corrected to 20/50)
• Familiarity with GPS devices
• Knowledge of area roads and neighborhoods
• Ability to lift heavy packages and luggage
• Availability to occasionally take weekend and night shifts
• A polite and professional disposition
• Ability to communicate respectfully and calm to stressful clients while on the road
• Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations
• A high school diploma

Typical Physical Requirements

Sit and drive for extended periods; frequently stand and walk; normal manual dexterity and eye hand coordination; corrected hearing and vision to normal range; verbal communication; use of office equipment including computers, telephones, calculators, and copiers. Move and lift light objects up to 25 pounds such as mail, supplies, files, and equipment.
