Position Responsibilities

As a Senior Software Engineer - E-Commerce, you will:

  • Collaborate with internal and vendor technical teams throughout the software development life cycle, understanding platform architecture and roadmap.
  • Establish optimal processes to enhance software development and support activities.
  • Enhance processes, Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and metrics to effectively evaluate projects and ongoing maintenance efforts.
  • Provide insights on technical requirements, project timelines, and software issues.
  • Design, develop, and maintain applications using Java and relational databases in a multi-tier and service-oriented architecture.
  • Coordinate development activities, collaborating with subject matter experts and project stakeholders.
  • Automate Change Control Processes related to software builds, tests, and deployments.
  • Work with hosting partners and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot, diagnose, and rectify production issues.
  • Contribute to the evolution of Agile/Scrum-based software development practices in alignment with overall organizational goals.
  • Monitor development activities to ensure data security and compliance with audit requirements.
  • Partner with the Quality Assurance Team to validate comprehensive testing and sustain automated testing solutions.
  • Provide leadership and technical direction for the development team.
  • Prepare conceptual, logical, and physical data models, leveraging your understanding of the existing system landscape.
  • Utilize problem-solving skills to debug complex software applications and determine effective solutions.
  • Scope and estimate project tasks while managing multiple assignments independently.
  • Lead initiatives in e-commerce and multichannel/Unified Commerce, focusing on digital development and user experience.
  • Collaborate with developers and product owners to develop innovative software applications and improvements.

Note: This is a hybrid position with the possibility of remote work 1-2 days a week.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Applications, or a closely related field, with five (5) years of progressive experience in a Software Engineering role or similar IT position.

The applicant must possess at least five (5) years of experience working with Java/J2EE technologies and eCommerce frameworks, along with five years of experience in the Retail eCommerce industry.

Additional skills preferred include

  • Experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Understanding of system architecture and object-oriented design.
  • Familiarity with REST, SOAP Web Services, and SOA architecture.
  • Proficiency in Java, Spring framework, Struts framework, JavaScript, jQuery, RDBMS (Oracle, SQL), JPA/Hibernate, and Java EE.
  • Experience in SQL, including Stored Procedures and data analysis.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based architecture.
  • Competence with build tools such as Ant, Maven, and Gradle.

Salary Range: $152,797 - $153,000 Annually

Location: Egg Harbor Township, NJ

The stated pay range represents the potential salary range for this role. Actual individual base pay will be determined based on various factors, including relevant experience, skills, and the responsibilities of the position.
