Job Title: Senior Manager, Ecommerce

Overview

A luxury RTW brand is seeking a strategic and hands-on Senior Manager of Ecommerce to lead both ecommerce operations and merchandising. This role will be instrumental in driving online business performance, optimizing the customer experience, and executing merchandising strategies that align with the brand’s vision.

Reporting to the Director of Ecommerce, this individual will also work closely with an external consultant, requiring strong collaboration skills and the ability to translate strategic guidance into execution.

Key Responsibilities

Ecommerce Operations

  • Oversee day-to-day ecommerce operations, ensuring seamless site functionality, product launches, and campaign execution
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (IT, marketing, logistics, customer service) to optimize site performance and user experience
  • Manage site updates, troubleshooting, and platform enhancements
  • Monitor KPIs such as conversion rate, AOV, traffic, and site performance; identify and implement improvements

Ecommerce Merchandising

  • Own the online merchandising strategy, including product assortment, categorization, and on-site storytelling
  • Optimize product placement, navigation, and search to drive sales and improve customer journey
  • Analyze product performance and customer behavior to inform merchandising decisions
  • Collaborate with buying and planning teams to align inventory and product launches with ecommerce strategy

Strategy & Collaboration

  • Support the Director of Ecommerce in executing overall ecommerce strategy and growth initiatives
  • Work closely with an external consultant to implement best practices and new opportunities
  • Provide insights and reporting to senior leadership on ecommerce performance and trends
  • Partner with marketing to align campaigns, promotions, and content across channels

Qualifications

  • 5–8+ years of ecommerce experience, ideally within fashion or luxury retail
  • Strong background in both ecommerce operations and digital merchandising
  • Analytical mindset with experience using tools like Google Analytics, Shopify (or similar), and reporting dashboards
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially when working with cross-functional teams and external partners
  • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of brand and aesthetics
  • Salary $150,000
