Digital Media Coordinator (Summer Student)

The Digital Media Coordinator will support the distribution of industry-exclusive content to our email subscribers and website visitors, and assist in creating and adapting content for social media, email campaigns, and digital platforms.
The role includes validating and updating contact details prior to the deployment of email marketing campaigns to advertisers and subscribers. These campaigns include newsletters, videos, circulation notifications, and exclusive advertisements delivered to targeted audiences across Canada.
The Digital Media Coordinator will also support the execution of social media and email marketing campaigns, including assisting in the planning and coordination of digital campaigns across web, email, and social platforms. The role will also involve analyzing campaign performance and identifying opportunities to improve engagement.
This position includes assisting with the technical execution of webinars and podcasts, working closely with editorial and sales teams to ensure smooth delivery from start to finish.
You will bring
- Education or coursework in Digital Marketing, Business Marketing or a related field
- Strong research and analytical skills, including the ability to gather information and provide stats and reports
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of WordPress
- Familiarity with email marketing programs and willingness to learn
- Exposure to Google Analytics (or similar analytics tools)
- Experience with social media scheduling tools is an asset
- Intermediate proficiency in the following computer applications: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to validate, update and maintain subscriber and advertiser demographic information
- Detail-oriented mindset and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Ability to understand and communicate technology issues/fixes with relevant internal and external service providers
- Familiarity with basic SEO and AEO principles
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in (or recently graduated from) a program in Digital Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field
- Eligible to work under the Canada Summer Jobs program (ages 15–30, a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or have refugee protection status, and possess a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN))
- Strong interest in digital media, content distribution, and audience engagement
- Familiarity with social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook) in a personal, academic, or volunteer capacity
- Basic understanding of email marketing and analytics (coursework or hands-on experience is sufficient)
- Ability to analyze basic performance metrics with guidance
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a structured environment
- Comfortable working with data accuracy and list management
