Digital Content Intern (Women’s Sports Media | Her Sports)

Company Description

Her Sports is building the go-to platform for women’s sports coverage in San Diego, giving athletes, teams, and stories the visibility they deserve. We’re looking for a Digital Content Intern who is passionate about sports, storytelling, and social media to help us bring women’s sports to life across Instagram, TikTok, and beyond.

Role Description

This is a part-time unpaid internship role, located in San Diego, CA, for a Digital Content Intern with a focus on Women’s Sports Media. This role is an opportunity to contribute creatively and strategically to the growth of the women's sports community.

The day-to-day job responsibilities include

• Create and edit Instagram posts, stories, and reels aligned with the Her Sports brand
• Produce TikTok videos that highlight athletes, events, and moments
• Attend sporting events to capture content in real time
• Post live updates and behind-the-scenes coverage on social media
• Collaborate with the team to brainstorm and execute creative content ideas
• Analyze content performance and social media analytics
• Help grow and engage our audience across platforms

Qualifications

• Experience: comfortable creating content for social platforms with a strong eye for design and storytelling.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in mobile video editing apps (CapCut) and design tools (Canva)
• Platform Expertise: Understanding of the TikTok and Instagram algorithms
• Passion: A love for multimedia storytelling, sports, and a desire to elevate athletes
• Availability: Based in or near San Diego to attend events with the ability to work some flexible hours, including evenings or weekends for event coverage. Able to dedicate 10-15 hours per week.
• Communication: Project Management skills for coordinating tasks, working in teams, and managing timelines effectively
