Digital Marketing Coordinator - Summer Student To be eligible for Canada Summer Jobs, you must:

  • be between 15 and 30 years old at the start of the position

Habitat for Humanity is one of the most well-known non-profits in the world. We build strength, stability and independence for families through affordable home ownership, and we have an exciting opportunity for a Digital Media and Marketing Coordinator to join our team right here in Calgary.

In this entry-level role, your primary focus will be on digital marketing – social media, and content creation. You’ll work with our marketing team to identify the stories that will demonstrate our impact and find the best ways of amplifying these to the audiences that matter most.

But when you’re not being a social savvy, wordsmithing whiz, you’ll get to work in many other areas of marketing and communications. This includes working with our ReStores to develop in-store promotions and encourage customer engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Manage our social profiles and presence, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram
  • Create shareable content and adapt it to networks accordingly to drive consistent, relevant traffic to our web spaces
  • Work with our ReStores to plan and develop in-store promotions

Requirements

  • Superior writing skills, adaptable to a range of media and audiences
  • An advanced understanding of social media platforms and their uses, with experience managing social activities for an organization
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and team-building skills
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities in a complex and dynamic environment
  • Post-secondary education in marketing, communications, or another related field, would be an asset

So, if you blog, tweet and share in your sleep, have a knack for creating killer content, and have superior organizational and planning skills, we want to hear from you.

Please send your cover letter and resume to [email protected] . Please note that only those candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
