About Everspark

Everspark Interactive is a performance-driven digital marketing agency specializing in SEO and lead generation for law firms. We build measurable growth through data-backed strategies, high-quality content, and technical excellence. Our team values ownership, transparency, and results — and we're actively evolving our approach alongside the AI-driven shifts reshaping search. We want someone leading that charge, not catching up to it.

Role Overview

We're looking for an experienced SEO Manager to own strategy across a portfolio of client accounts while managing the execution teams that bring those strategies to life. This role is equal parts strategist, team leader, and client partner — ideal for someone who understands how SEO directly impacts revenue and is motivated by performance-based growth.

You'll be expected to operate at the intersection of traditional SEO, AI-driven search behavior, and emerging answer engine optimization — staying ahead of how Google, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and other platforms surface content. You'll lead weekly standups, drive collaboration between content, link building, and development teams, and serve as the SEO authority in client-facing conversations.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Execution

  • Own SEO strategy and execution across a portfolio of client accounts, ensuring alignment between business goals and organic growth tactics
  • Conduct keyword research, competitive analysis, and opportunity mapping to identify high-impact priorities
  • Optimize on-page SEO including content structure, internal linking, semantic architecture, and technical elements
  • Identify and resolve technical SEO issues including site speed, indexing, crawlability, and Core Web Vitals
  • Monitor rankings, traffic, and conversions — and adjust strategies proactively based on performance signals
  • Analyze performance data and deliver clear, actionable reporting to internal teams and clients

AI, GEO & Emerging Search

  • Monitor and adapt strategies in response to algorithm updates, Google AI Overviews, and the evolving role of large language models in organic search
  • Develop and implement Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) strategies to improve client visibility in AI-generated answers and zero-click environments
  • Build entity-driven, E-E-A-T-aligned content frameworks that perform across both traditional and AI-powered search surfaces
  • Leverage AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity) to enhance research, content briefing, and workflow efficiency — while maintaining strategic judgment over outputs
  • Stay ahead of AEO (Answer Engine Optimization), voice search, and evolving SERP features that impact client visibility

Team Leadership & Management

  • Lead weekly standups with content, link building, and development teams — keeping execution aligned with client strategy and timelines
  • Conduct regular performance check-ins and contribute to reviews for team members across disciplines
  • Serve as the internal SEO authority — helping content writers, link builders, and developers understand priorities and the reasoning behind them
  • Identify workflow gaps and contribute to building scalable internal systems, processes, and playbooks
  • Mentor junior team members and elevate overall SEO capability across the agency

Client & Account Management Partnership

  • Partner with Account Managers to build and refine client SEO strategies, ensuring recommendations are scoped, deliverable, and tied to measurable outcomes
  • Represent SEO on client calls — communicating strategy, reporting on performance, and managing expectations with clarity and confidence
  • Translate complex SEO concepts into business-focused language that resonates with clients
  • Proactively flag opportunities and risks to clients before they become issues

Qualifications

  • 4–7+ years of hands-on SEO experience, with agency experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated track record of increasing organic traffic and qualified lead generation — ideally in competitive verticals
  • Strong command of technical, on-page, and off-page SEO fundamentals
  • Demonstrated understanding of how LLMs, AI Overviews, and answer engines are reshaping search behavior and organic strategy
  • Experience managing or leading cross-functional teams (content, development, outreach)
  • Comfortable in client-facing roles — able to translate complex strategy into clear business outcomes
  • Proficiency with tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, and Google Analytics / GA4
  • Ability to interpret data and translate it into strategic, prioritized action
  • Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills
  • Collaborative working style with Account Managers and project leads

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with law firms or in highly competitive local SEO markets
  • Hands-on experience with GEO, AEO, or improving visibility in AI-generated responses
  • Familiarity with prompt engineering as it relates to content strategy and SEO workflows
  • Experience using AI tools to scale content production, technical audits, or reporting without sacrificing quality
  • Familiarity with CRO and conversion-focused SEO strategies
  • Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, or site architecture
  • Experience collaborating closely with developers and content teams in an agency environment

Compensation & Growth

  • Base Salary: $70,000 – $85,000 (based on experience)
  • Revenue Share: Performance-based upside tied to client growth and retention
  • Opportunity to grow into a senior leadership or Director-level role as the company scales
  • Flexible, fully remote work environment

Why Everspark

  • Direct impact on revenue and client success — your work moves the needle
  • High-autonomy, results-driven culture with no micromanagement
  • A team that takes AI and the future of search seriously — and invests in staying ahead
  • Clear path for growth into senior leadership as we scale
  • Work with smart, motivated people who value performance over politics
