Digital Commerce Manager – Shopify Focus

📍 Westchester County, NY (Hybrid – 3 days onsite required)

We are seeking a

hands-on Shopify expert

to lead and scale a multi-brand e-commerce business. This is a high-impact role for someone who lives and breathes Shopify—someone who has built, optimized, and grown a storefront and knows how to turn data, merchandising, and UX into measurable revenue.

The Opportunity

You will own the

Shopify ecosystem

end-to-end, driving performance through site optimization, merchandising, and conversion strategy. This role sits at the intersection of

technology, marketing, and commercial strategy

, with full visibility into business performance.

Responsibilities

Shopify Platform Ownership (Core Focus)

  • Full ownership of the

Shopify storefront

, including daily operations, merchandising, and performance optimization

  • Manage and optimize the

Shopify app ecosystem

(reviews, search & discovery, personalization, subscriptions, etc.)

  • Partner with developers to implement

custom features, integrations, and theme enhancements

  • Oversee site speed, mobile optimization, and overall technical performance

Conversion & Site Optimization

  • Drive

conversion rate optimization (CRO)

across PDPs, collection pages, cart, and checkout

  • Execute and analyze

A/B tests

to continuously improve performance

  • Identify friction points in the user journey and implement solutions that increase conversion and AOV

Digital Merchandising & Revenue Growth

  • Own

site merchandising strategy

—product assortment, categorization, collections, and on-site storytelling

  • Optimize product pages with strong content, imagery, and positioning to maximize sell-through
  • Plan and execute

promotional calendars

in partnership with Marketing

Data & Performance

  • Own key Shopify and digital KPIs:

conversion rate, AOV, revenue, retention, and traffic

  • Leverage

Shopify Analytics, Google Analytics

, and other tools to drive decision-making

  • Monitor funnel performance and continuously optimize for growth

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with multiple departments to align inventory, campaigns, and site experience
  • Support paid media and lifecycle marketing efforts by ensuring strong landing page and on-site conversion

Tools, Apps & Integrations

  • Evaluate, implement, and optimize

Shopify apps and third-party tools

  • Manage relationships with external agencies and developers
  • Continuously test new tools to improve personalization, merchandising, and performance

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of

hands-on e-commerce experience

, with

direct ownership of a Shopify store

  • Deep experience working within

Shopify (themes, apps, integrations, and platform limitations)

  • Proven track record of

growing revenue on Shopify

through merchandising, CRO, and site optimization

  • Strong understanding of the

Shopify ecosystem

(apps, tools, and best practices)

  • Experience with

A/B testing, CRO tools, and performance optimization

  • Proficiency in

Google Analytics, Shopify Analytics

, and Excel

  • Solid understanding of

UX/UI and customer journey optimization

  • Familiarity with

SEO, paid media, and email marketing

as they relate to Shopify performance

  • Comfortable working cross-functionally and moving quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly proactive, detail-oriented, and solutions-driven
