About the Role

Position: Senior SEM Manager

Responsibility: Oversee a portfolio of clients and lead the scaling of our PPC department.

We are looking for a strategic thinker who thrives on scaling Google campaigns profitably, enjoys data analysis, and excels at building and maintaining department processes, including high‑budget campaigns and cross‑team collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee campaign strategy and work with the Manager on advanced search tactics, establishing ongoing strategic frameworks.
  • Daily account management to maximize mid‑ and high‑tier accounts.
  • Lead media planning for new accounts.
  • Coordinate with team leadership to manage and optimize large‑scale budgets, ensuring efficient allocation to maximize investment and hit agency benchmarks.
  • Manage performance of Analyst, Coordinator, and Manager roles, overseeing training, development, and quality of work.
  • Work with the CSM lead to set North Star Metrics for each client.
  • Oversee campaign audits to ensure comprehensive analysis, accurate findings, and relevant recommendations are implemented.
  • Create and implement robust A/B testing frameworks to continuously optimize campaign performance.
  • Develop and refine processes and best practices to drive operational excellence for internal efficiency and client success.
  • Develop comprehensive strategies and frameworks for struggling accounts, ensuring alignment with CDM best practices.
  • Maintain clear communication with internal stakeholders to align client status and performance.
  • Lead cross‑team communication with the conversion rate optimization and integration teams.
  • Maintain regular communication with team members through 1:1 meetings and team discussions.
  • Lead annual performance reviews for junior team members and provide clear feedback on performance and growth.

Qualifications

  • Strong command of the English language and located in Canada.
  • 4+ years of experience in Paid Search advertising.
  • Advanced knowledge and in‑depth experience with Google Ads.
  • Experience managing over $300K/month in paid search spend.
  • 2+ years of agency experience preferred, but not required.
