About the Role

We're looking for a sharp, self-driven Product E-Commerce Merchandising Specialist who lives at the intersection of pricing strategy, inventory performance, and online sales. You'll own the lifecycle of our product catalog across multiple e-commerce platforms, with a focus on maximizing the net value of every item we sell, turning inventory faster, and keeping our listings accurate and competitive.

You're the kind of person who doesn't wait to be told what tool to use or what the market is doing, you go find out. You use AI and every resource available to price smarter, research comps, identify opportunities, and solve problems before they become problems.

Key Responsibilities

Pricing & Margin Optimization

● Research market comparables and set competitive, margin-positive prices across all platforms (eBay, Shopify, and others)

● Conduct regular pricing audits and proactively adjust listings based on market trends, sell-through rates, and inventory age

● Coordinate pricing on consignment items with consignors, balancing their expectations with market realities

● Identify underpriced and overpriced inventory and make data-backed recommendations to improve net return

Inventory Velocity & Catalog Management

● Create, update, and manage product listings with complete, accurate, and compelling information

● Monitor inventory turnover and take action on slow-moving items — repricing, relisting, bundling, or escalating

● Relist canceled, expired, or unlisted items to minimize lost sales opportunity

● Track and reduce listing defects (missing info, incorrect specs, poor descriptions) by coordinating with internal team members

Sales Operations & Reporting

● Review and process orders for specialty equipment with accuracy

● Track key performance metrics: sell-through rate, average sale price vs. estimated value, days-to-sale, and defect rates

● Identify process improvements and implement solutions with minimal hand-holding

● Support broader sales operations and reporting as the business evolves

• Increasing net values — items sell closer to (or above) estimated market value
• Faster inventory turns — less time sitting on shelves, more cash flowing through the business
• Fewer listing defects — complete, accurate listings that reduce returns, questions, and lost sales

Skills & Qualifications

Required

● Strong analytical mindset with the ability to research pricing and market data independently

● Comfort using AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) to accelerate research, write listings, and solve problems

● Experience managing e-commerce listings on platforms such as eBay, Shopify, or similar

● High attention to detail, especially with product specs, pricing, and inventory data

● Proficiency with spreadsheets and online systems; ability to learn new tools quickly

● Self-starter who identifies what needs to be done and does it without waiting to be asked

Preferred

● Experience with inventory management systems (IMS)

● Familiarity with resale, refurbished goods, or specialty equipment markets

● Background in pricing, merchandising, retail buying, or e-commerce strategy

● Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field

Experience

● Minimum 2 years in a professional environment, preferably in e-commerce, retail, or sales operations

● High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree a plus
