About The Role
The Social Media Coordinator at Faith Promise Church is a key ministry role responsible for managing the church’s public voice across four distinct social media accounts: Faith Promise Church, Pastor Zac, Win Network, and The Most Podcast. This role involves developing and executing strategic content plans, creating engaging posts, and cultivating a vibrant online community that aligns with the church’s mission and values. The coordinator will oversee the content calendar, ensure consistent posting rhythms, and tailor messaging to resonate with diverse audiences, including church attendees, leaders, and the broader community.
The role requires a proactive mindset, creative storytelling, and the ability to analyze engagement metrics to continually refine social strategies. As a ministry position, the primary goal is to use social media as a tool to lead people toward Jesus, foster spiritual growth, and encourage them to win their world for Christ.
Qualifications
- A clear sense of calling to ministry and alignment with Faith Promise’s vision, values, and theology
- Two or more years of experience managing social media accounts with measurable audience growth
- Proven ability to produce engaging content that captures attention and drives engagement
- Strong writing skills, capable of capturing voice and tone in various content formats
- Proficiency in building graphics and short-form videos using AI-assisted workflows and design tools
- Experience leading and training volunteers, with a compassionate and encouraging leadership style
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to operate independently with minimal supervision
- Availability to attend church conferences, events, including some weekends and evenings
- Knowledge of social media analytics and ability to interpret data to inform strategy
- Preferred qualifications include experience in church, ministry, or nonprofit environments
- Experience supporting podcasts or long-form content for distribution
- Familiarity with paid social advertising and campaign management
- Experience managing a personal or leader’s social media account in addition to organizational accounts
Responsibilities
- Own and execute social media strategy, content calendar, and audience growth initiatives for four distinct accounts
- Develop compelling hooks, thumbnails, titles, and opening lines to attract new viewers and followers
- Identify relevant topics and angles, including apologetics and cultural conversations, to broaden reach
- Collaborate with the Pastor of Communications and Marketing to review and approve sensitive or controversial content
- Create and design a variety of content including quote cards, graphics, and short videos, utilizing approved templates and AI tools
- Select impactful moments from weekend messages and podcasts to produce clips and shareable content
- Manage campus social media volunteers, providing training, direction, and ongoing support
- Coordinate content capture at major church events, conferences, and baptisms, ensuring timely posting
- Monitor and respond to comments and direct messages in a manner consistent with the church’s tone and mission
- Flag pastoral concerns and crisis situations promptly to leadership
- Schedule and publish content across all platforms, maintaining a consistent posting rhythm
- Participate in weekly content planning, podcast meetings, and team reviews to ensure alignment and effective execution
