They are highly organized, culturally aware, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities and conversations can move quickly.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, schedule, and publish social content across multiple platforms in alignment with the social content calendar and broader marketing priorities.

  • Stay current on entertainment, pop culture, movie culture, fan communities, social media trends, platform developments, and emerging digital behaviors.
  • Partner collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders, proactively communicating project needs, updates, and dependencies.
  • Support day-to-day social and digital marketing operations, including invoicing, channel management, fan gifting, and other administrative needs.
  • Identify challenges and opportunities proactively and help develop solutions rather than waiting for direction.
  • Support the broader Social team as priorities evolve, including projects and initiatives outside of core day-to-day responsibilities when needed.
Required Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in social media, digital marketing, communications, or a related role, either in-house or agency-side.
  • Hands-on experience with community management, including publishing social content and engaging audiences across multiple social media platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of major social platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, and X.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for different platforms and audiences.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong judgment and problem-solving skills, particularly when working in fast-moving digital and social environments.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to consistently deliver work that reflects IMAX brand standards.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across different teams and working styles while communicating proactively and adapting quickly.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, and social media management tools.
  • Ability to balance creative thinking with a data-oriented approach to social media strategy and execution.
Preferred
  • Experience with social media management and listening platforms such as Sprinklr.
  • Experience supporting social campaigns within entertainment, media, consumer brands, or similarly fast-paced industries.
  • Experience analyzing social performance data, audience sentiment, and platform trends to identify actionable insights.
  • Strong understanding of entertainment, pop culture, movie culture, fan communities, and social-first behaviors.
