E-commerce Platform Specialist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and technically adept E-commerce Platform Specialist to join their team in Markham, Ontario . You will be responsible for the technical management, optimization, and maintenance of their e-commerce platform, ensuring a smooth and efficient online shopping experience. This role requires a strong understanding of e-commerce technologies, website functionality, and best practices for user experience and conversion optimization. You will work closely with marketing, IT, and development teams to enhance platform capabilities and support business growth.

Key Responsibilities Manage, configure, and optimize the e-commerce platform (e.g., Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce) to ensure optimal performance and user experience. Implement and manage website updates, including product catalog updates, content changes, and feature enhancements. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the e-commerce platform, working with development teams when necessary. Collaborate with the marketing team to implement campaigns, promotions, and A/B tests on the platform. Ensure the website is optimized for SEO, mobile responsiveness, and page speed. Monitor website analytics, conversion rates, and user behavior to identify areas for improvement. Requirements Proven experience as an E-commerce Platform Specialist , Webmaster, or similar role. Strong knowledge of at least one major e-commerce platform (e.g., Shopify, Magento, BigCommerce). Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for front-end adjustments. Experience with website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and reporting. Understanding of SEO principles and best practices for e-commerce websites.
