Senior Staff Product Marketing Manager
ManpowerThe Senior Staff Product Marketing Manager, Content Strategy & Portfolio Marketing, will lead the creation and ongoing management of high-quality marketing content across company’s portfolio. This role combines strategic product marketing leadership with hands-on content development to ensure customer-facing materials are clear, accurate, differentiated, and aligned with business priorities.
The successful candidate will partner across Product Marketing, Product Management, Customer Marketing, Regional Marketing, Commercial, Medical Affairs, Legal, and Regulatory teams to translate complex genomics concepts into compelling, audience-relevant content. This individual will bring strong judgment, operational and executional discipline, and the ability to move a broad portfolio of work forward in a global, matrixed organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead the strategy, development, and ongoing evolution of customer-facing marketing content across products, applications, workflows, and portfolio-level solutions.
- Create and update core marketing materials, including web content, application and technical content, campaign assets, sales tools, presentations, and training materials.
- Assess existing content for accuracy, relevance, consistency and alignment with current positioning, messaging, intended use, and regional requirements.
- Prioritize content needs using business impact, customer need, product lifecycle, commercial readiness, usage data, and risk-based inputs.
- Translate technical, scientific, and product information into clear, differentiated, customer-centered narratives for multiple audiences and stages of the buying journey.
- Develop messaging frameworks and content standards that improve consistency across channels while allowing appropriate regional and audience adaptation.
- Partner with subject matter experts and review functions to efficiently develop, review, approve, publish, and maintain content through established processes.
- Coordinate global and regional stakeholders to define market needs, gather feedback, manage dependencies, and drive decisions on content updates.
- Establish scalable content governance practices, including ownership, versioning, review cadence, lifecycle management, and source-of-truth documentation.
- Lead complex, cross-functional content programs from scoping through delivery, balancing strategic priorities with executional detail and dynamic timelines.
- Monitor content performance and field feedback, and use insights to improve discoverability, usability, adoption, and commercial impact.
- Provide senior-level recommendations to marketing leadership on content gaps, investment priorities, operating models, and opportunities to simplify or reuse assets.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in life sciences, business, marketing, or a related field is a plus.
- 12+ years of experience in product marketing, portfolio marketing, content strategy, marketing communications, product management, or a related discipline; life sciences experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success developing technically complex, customer-facing content and leading cross-functional marketing programs at global scale.
- Strong knowledge of genomics, next-generation sequencing, molecular biology, clinical or research workflows, or an adjacent life sciences market is highly desirable.
- Experience working within structured review and approval processes and applying regulatory, legal, brand, and regional requirements to marketing content.
- Excellent writing, editing, storytelling, and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complexity without losing scientific accuracy.
- Ability to independently set priorities, manage a large portfolio of deliverables, and drive progress when inputs or timelines are evolving.
- Strong business judgment, attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a track record of making decisions using multiple data points.
- Proven ability to influence diverse stakeholders and build alignment across a global, matrixed organization.
- Collaborative, pragmatic, and action-oriented working style with the ability to operate at both strategic and executional levels.
