THE OPPORTUNITY
As the Scheduling Coordinator at our Kansas City headquarters, you will play a integral role in keeping our operation moving. You will own the day-to-day coordination of production and warehouse schedules, balancing customer needs, available resources, materials, equipment, and labor to keep orders moving and ensure we deliver on our promises.
This is a highly collaborative role that works across Operations, Production, Warehouse, Planning, Purchasing, and Sales. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, proactive, and comfortable making decisions in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly.
More than simply maintaining a schedule, this role is about anticipating challenges, solving problems, communicating clearly, and helping the entire team perform at its best.

What You'll Do
- Own the daily production schedule by reviewing sales backlog, customer requirements, capacity, and available resources to create an efficient master schedule.
- Prioritize customer orders based on deadlines, customer commitments, production requirements, and available capacity.
- Continuously monitor and adjust schedules based on changing order specifications, staffing, materials, equipment, and production capabilities.
- Coordinate the flow of orders between departments, clearly communicating quantities, priorities, completion dates, and other critical requirements.
- Partner closely with Operations Management, Supervisors, Planning, Purchasing, and Sales to identify potential challenges before they impact customers.
- Participate in cross-functional production meetings to review completed work, address current issues, validate lead times, and align on priorities.
- Develop and maintain dynamic visual reports and dashboards that provide clear visibility into order status, production progress, capacity, and potential delays.
- Communicate schedule changes and critical updates quickly and effectively to the appropriate teams.
- Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and recurring scheduling challenges and help develop solutions.
- Work hands-on with operational teams while also contributing to longer-term projects and process improvements.
- Use data, critical thinking, and sound judgment to balance competing priorities and keep work moving.
- Help create a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement across the operation.
- Experience in production scheduling, operations, manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, or a related environment preferred.
- Strong understanding of production processes and the factors that impact efficient manufacturing and distribution.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Comfort working with numbers, schedules, deadlines, and operational data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build strong working relationships across departments and communicate effectively with people at all levels of the organization.
- A hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves approach combined with the ability to think strategically about longer-term improvements.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to evaluate options, identify potential impacts, and make sound decisions.
- Ability to remain calm, focused, and adaptable when priorities shift.
