Do you have a love of words and passion for fashion? Suzy Shier is looking for a creative and passionate copywriter to join our growing Ecommerce team

• *Responsibilities**:
• Write engaging copy for the website, including but not limited to: homepage content, product descriptions, information pages, and collection pages.
• Create paid media ad copy (Google, Facebook, etc.) that increases CTR.
• Coordinate with the web merchandiser to ensure product descriptions are completed in advance of release dates.
• QA all copy for accuracy, relevancy, and consistency.
• Update website copy for seasonal events, new collections, major promotions, etc., incorporating current high-ranking keywords and trending search terms that align with brand focus and business objectives.
• Maintain and update all SEO content - H2, meta tags, alt text titles, etc.
• Provide actionable intelligence for:
• Product returns - Analyze reasons for customer returns, and evaluate if modifying the product descriptions would decrease return rates.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate content ideas and stories.
• Research competitive landscape and provide detailed findings.
• Ensure copy consistency in the Suzy Shier brand voice across all channels.
• *Qualifications**:
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a copywriter.
• Excellent written communication skills in English. (Same experience for French is an asset but not mandatory.)
• Knowledge of SEO principles and best practices.
• Prior experience writing SEO-friendly copy.
• Experience with Shopify, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite considered an asset.
• Good understanding of SEM and content marketing strategies considered an asset.
• Able to adapt to changing priorities, unexpected challenges, tight deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and reliable team player, with the flexibility to work independently.
• Proactive problem solver who is detail-oriented.
• Fashion industry experience considered an asset.
• Keen interest in fashion and Ecommerce trends.
