Mi9 Retail software company is fully focused on the retail business vertical. We develop software to address challenging requirements faced by medium to large retail enterprises such as merchandise management, master data, inventory management, sales audit, purchasing and invoicing, retail analytics, and point of sale.

  • Position Overview*

Mi9 Retail is seeking an experienced eCom Product Owner (PO) with Project Management skills to work with our product development team as well as our customers.

This position can be based anywhere in Ontario. It is a work-from-home arrangement.

This role requires collaboration with our teams in Ruse (Bulgaria) and Pleasanton (California).

The compensation will match your level of education and experience.

  • What you will be doing*
  • Deeply understand the client requirements in the area of eCom and write User Stories for our software development team.
  • Initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, and closing concurrent software engineering projects.
  • Oversee all aspects of multiple concurrent projects, including scope, requirements, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Communicate to all project stakeholders (internal and external) - weekly status reports, scheduled remote meetings, and timely responses.
  • Actively engage and collaborate with clients, developers, QA, other POs and PMs, and the support team.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and propose solutions.
  • Report to the Product Manager.

  • You will enable the development team to focus on well-defined priorities optimizing value delivery. You will provide outstanding service to our clients.
  • What you bring to the table*
  • Product knowledge of eCom platforms and external touchpoints, ideally within a DTC, B2B, and B2B2C environments.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering eCom projects.
  • Scrum/Agile methodology skills are required, certifications are not a must but are appreciated.
  • Must know software development processes and should be able to manage multiple projects on different tracks.
  • Must have excellent management, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to manage communication apprising project status and issues to clients, team members, management, and other stakeholders.
  • Superior attention to detail.
  • Outstanding problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a PO/PM role.
