At the POSTCARD PEOPLE, we are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Digital Printing Data Processing Analyst with direct mail experience to join our dynamic data team. In this role, you will lead the processing, management, and analysis of large-scale direct mail datasets, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and strategic insights. Your expertise will drive the development of innovative data solutions, support targeted marketing campaigns, and optimize data workflows across multiple platforms. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare merge purge, file suppression, and batch sorting.
  • Analyzes client-supplied data prior to job processing. Ensures job tickets contain all necessary information.
  • Uses the appropriate software programs and utilities to accurately complete the job.
  • Performs programming and support activities, including program coding, creating new and revised programs with more effective language codes, processing routines, report generators, hardware use and use of database management techniques.
  • Processes mail list data to include, importing, processing and output of customer mailing lists.
  • Manipulates data for mail processing or variable data printing.
  • Creates and prepares paperwork for mail delivery.
  • Responsible for inkjet and digital address layouts.
  • Communicates with the appropriate departments to provide job status information.
  • Saves and archives all data department procedures
  • Adheres to quality-control procedures.
  • Coordinate and manage mail data, track and trace services.
  • Set up, daily taskmaster.
  • Data merge and import utilizing Endicia, UPS, and FedEx systems.
  • Prepare shipping for customer orders, knowledge of postal rules and regulations.
  • Some variable formatting for Digital and Prepress setup.
  • Perform quality and assurance.
  • Complete and maintain all required paperwork.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Other additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Requires literacy of data processing and mail production processes.
  • Experience in data list processing and mail list programming.
  • Knowledge of mailing software such as BCC Mail Manager or similar.
  • Knowledge of USPS rules and regulations.
  • Must be skilled in the use of appropriate computer software applications and producing/manipulating electronic files.
  • Must possess excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage projects, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Must be a team player with strong communication skills and the ability to adapt to changing situations and deadlines.
  • Ability to problem-solve.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with MS Office and Excel.
  • Working knowledge of Endicia, UPS, and FedEx import systems.
  • Ability to read, comprehend and interpret specific work instructions.
  • Strong Communication and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to properly run various printers, scanners and copiers
  • Flexible to accept various assignments and learn new equipment
  • Ability to maintain orderly workflow and prioritize assignments

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent GED (preferred but not required)
  • Must have advanced computer knowledge
  • Well organized and extremely detail-oriented.
  • Multi-tasking ability is a must.
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • May be required to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
