OVERVIEW

The Digital Commerce Specialist plays a key role in driving growth and optimization across all digital commerce channels. This role is responsible for the functionality, performance, and continuous improvement of our eCommerce ecosystem, encompassing B2B, B2C, marketplaces, and distributor portals.

With a strong understanding of data, user experience, and eCommerce operations, the Digital Commerce Specialist ensures that our digital platforms deliver an exceptional customer experience while meeting business goals. This role bridges the gap between marketing, IT, and sales, translating analytics into actionable insights, ensuring content accuracy, and identifying opportunities to enhance conversion and engagement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Platform & Site Management

  • Manage day-to-day operations across all eCommerce platforms (B2B, B2C, distributor portals, and marketplaces).
  • Maintain and update product content, pricing, and promotional assets to ensure accuracy and brand consistency.
  • Partner with IT and external vendors to integrate, enhance functionality, and optimize performance.
  • Oversee QA for new site features, product launches, and promotional campaigns.
  • Continuously monitor website health, uptime, and responsiveness to ensure optimal performance.

Performance & Analytics

  • Track and analyze site performance metrics (traffic, conversion, bounce rate, revenue attribution, customer flow).
  • Translate analytics into actionable insights that drive site improvements and marketing decisions.
  • Support the development of digital dashboards and reporting tools to measure performance across digital channels.
  • Identify opportunities to improve site speed, navigation, and conversion funnels.

SEO/SEM & Digital Optimization

  • Support SEO/SEM initiatives and collaborate with vendors or agencies on keyword strategy, campaign tracking, and reporting.
  • Ensure all product and page content adheres to SEO best practices and metadata standards.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to align on digital advertising, landing pages, and campaign tagging.

Product Information Management

  • Maintain accurate and optimized product data, imagery, and specifications across all digital platforms to ensure consistency and optimal performance.
  • Conduct regular product audits to ensure consistency and data integrity.
  • Partner with internal teams to streamline product onboarding and lifecycle management.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with IT, Marketing, and Sales to align technical capabilities with business priorities.
  • Collaborate with the Digital Operations Coordinator to connect eCommerce performance with campaign execution.
  • Partner with the Content & Creative Specialist to ensure digital assets meet UX and brand standards.
  • Liaise with external vendors and digital partners to implement enhancements and troubleshoot issues.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience in digital commerce, eCommerce management, or digital operations.
  • Experience managing or supporting B2B/B2C e-commerce platforms, such as Salesforce and Shopify.
  • Strong understanding of web analytics, SEO/SEM, and digital conversion optimization.
  • Familiarity with product data management (PIM systems) and digital merchandising.
  • Experience coordinating with IT and technical teams on site enhancements or integrations.

Technical Skills

  • Proficient in Google Analytics (GA4), Search Console, and Tag Manager.
  • Experience with CMS/eCommerce platforms and data feed management tools.
  • Understanding of HTML/CSS basics and UX/UI fundamentals.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets for data management and reporting.
