Position Summary

The Senior Marketing Specialist plays a key role in driving brand awareness, guest engagement, and local store traffic for the Simplevenue restaurant group. This position is responsible for supporting digital strategy, producing basic graphic design assets, and supporting local store marketing initiatives, along with additional departmental tasks. The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, data-driven, and passionate about food, hospitality, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Graphic Design & Content Creation

  • Produce basic design materials including social graphics, in-store promotional signage, flyers, menus, and digital ads.
  • Maintain brand consistency across all visual and written materials.

Email, SMS & Loyalty Program

  • Draft and schedule content via email and SMS platform
  • Support monthly content calendar creation
  • Support the day-to-day operation of the loyalty program

Local Store Marketing

  • Collaborate with restaurant managers to plan and execute local marketing initiatives, events, sponsorships, and promotions.
  • Support new store openings with social content and neighborhood outreach.
  • Develop localized campaigns to drive traffic, increase community engagement, and support sales goals.
  • Serve as a point of contact for store-level marketing needs and provide guidance on brand standards.

Social Media

  • Develop, schedule, and publish content across all brand social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, Facebook).
  • Create and maintain a monthly social media content calendar aligned with brand campaigns and seasonal initiatives.
  • Monitor social channels for engagement, respond to guest comments/messages, and maintain a consistent brand voice.
  • Track performance metrics and provide regular reports and insights to optimize content strategy.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, platform updates, and competitor activity.

General Marketing Support

  • Assist in the execution of brand-wide campaigns, promotions, and product launches.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams such as Operations, Culinary, and HR.
  • Contribute to the development of marketing strategy and campaign planning.
  • Assist the Director of Marketing with tasks as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1-3+ years of marketing experience, preferably in the restaurant, retail, hospitality, or consumer brand industry.
  • Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), or similar design tools.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and analytics.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, primarily remote environment, with the occasional need for in-person travel and meetings.
  • Photography/videography skills a plus.
