The Opportunity

MPC is seeking a forward-thinking marketing leader who blends creativity, analytics, and technology to drive brand impact and engagement. This role is ideal for a strategic, digitally fluent professional ready to modernize how our story is told and experienced. Reporting to the Vice President, Marketing and Events, you’ll lead integrated marketing strategy, oversee communications across all channels, and ensure MPC’s brand, campaigns, and voice resonate with members nationwide.

About The Role

You will play a key role in shaping MPC’s message and strengthening our presence across Canada. This role blends strategic leadership with creativity and digital marketing innovation, ideal for someone who approaches marketing like a strategic storyteller and data-driven marketer. Working closely with the Vice President, Events and Marketing, you will design and deliver integrated strategies that drive engagement, elevate the brand, and support MPC’s work across education, membership, advocacy, and events.

Strategic Marketing and Brand Stewardship

· Champion member and external communications to ensure that all messaging is consistent, clear, and aligned with MPC’s brand guidelines.

· Act as brand steward, ensuring all campaigns, content, and digital experiences reflect a cohesive and compelling organizational narrative.

· Establishes KPI, performance metrics and reporting frameworks for all marketing and communications initiatives, ensuring accountability, efficiency, and impact.

· Ensure all marketing and communications initiatives are delivered within the defined scope, timeline, and budget by leveraging knowledge of SEO/SEM, marketing automation (Click Dimensions, HubSpot, or similar), digital advertising, and email marketing best practices.

Innovation, Collaboration & Engagement

· Leads alignment and collaboration across internal partners (Events, Public Affairs, Membership and Education) to align brand, product, service, and member experience across all communication.

· Partners with internal stakeholders to assess and modernize communications platforms, improving targeting, performance measurement, and overall efficiency.

· Champion process improvement, creativity and innovation, empowering team ownership and translating insights/trends into actionable strategies that strengthen connection with members and partners.

· Oversees team development and resource planning, mentoring team members, strengthening skills, optimizing capacity to meet evolving priorities, and building organizational capability in data-driven and AI-assisted marketing execution.

Key Competencies

· Proven experience in a marketing role, preferably for an agency or member-based association.

· Strong understanding of SEO/SEM/GEO, digital advertising, and email marketing best practices.

· Proficiency with marketing technology including CRM automation, AI-driven discoverability and performance tools (Dynamics 365, Salesforce, ClickDimensions, HubSpot, Power BI, Google Analytics etc.)

· Working knowledge of creative design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) with ability to develop and refine marketing assets.

· Ability to synthesize information, initiate a plan and manage at both a strategic and operational level.

· Strong, positive interpersonal skills, with experience managing cross-functional initiatives involving multiple internal stakeholders and external vendors.

· Fluency in both English and French is preferred.
