Manager, Social Commerce
Michael KorsWho You Are:
The Manager, Social Commerce is responsible for building, operating, and growing Michael Kors’ emerging social commerce and marketplace channels. This role owns the end-to-end commercial performance of TikTok Shop, marketplace channels, and user-generated content (UGC) strategy — with the expectation that the portfolio will expand as new social commerce opportunities emerge. This is a builder’s role. The right person brings an entrepreneurial mindset and a true owner-operator mentality — someone who can stand up new channels from the ground up, define the playbook, and drive performance across platforms with very different business models and customer dynamics. They must balance brand integrity with commercial agility, moving quickly in fast-evolving environments while ensuring every touchpoint reflects Michael Kors’ brand standards. A passionate advocate for the customer, this person makes decisions by synthesizing multiple inputs — platform analytics, customer data, content performance, and competitive intelligence — to continuously optimize the social commerce experience. They will partner closely with Merchandising, Buying & Planning, Marketing, Creative, Social Media, CRM, Site Merchandising, Product Management, Technology, and Operations to activate and scale these channels.
What You’ll Do:
Own and Grow the Social Commerce Business
- Serve as the owner-operator of Michael Kors’ social commerce portfolio, with direct accountability for revenue, traffic, conversion, and customer growth across TikTok Shop, marketplace channels, and UGC.
- Develop and execute the commercial strategy for each channel, setting clear goals and translating them into actionable plans that drive measurable results.
- Monitor performance across all channels on a daily and weekly basis, identifying opportunities and risks and driving swift action to improve results.
- Build the business case for new social commerce opportunities as the landscape evolves, and lead the activation of new channels and partnerships.
- Provide regular performance recaps and strategic recommendations to leadership.
TikTok Shop
- Own the TikTok Shop storefront strategy, including product assortment, navigation, content-to-commerce integration, and promotional planning.
- Partner with Social Media, Marketing, and Creative to align shop content with broader brand campaigns, trends, and cultural moments.
- Manage product eligibility, catalog operations, and cross-regional alignment to ensure a complete and compelling shop experience.
- Partner with merchants on product strategies, ensuring the TikTok Shop assortment reflects commercial priorities, trend opportunities, and customer demand.
- Oversee the development of product briefs for all TikTok Shop live events, ensuring content is on-brand, commercially focused, and aligned with the broader marketing calendar.
- Stay ahead of platform updates, algorithm changes, and emerging best practices to maintain competitive positioning.
Marketplace Channels
- Own the commercial strategy for marketplace channels, including product assortment, pricing, and promotional planning.
- Partner with Buying & Planning and Merchandising to ensure product availability and inventory alignment for each platform.
- Monitor channel performance and customer dynamics, adapting strategy to maximize sell-through and customer acquisition.
User-Generated Content (UGC) Strategy

- Partner with Site Merchandising and Product Management to ensure UGC is surfaced effectively across the site experience to drive engagement and conversion.
- Monitor customer sentiment and voice-of-the-customer signals to surface insights for the broader organization.
Drive Cross-Functional Execution

- Align cross-functional partners around channel priorities, product launches, campaigns, and promotional moments.
- Build strong relationships across a matrixed organization, effectively influencing peers and stakeholders to drive alignment and execution.
Test, Learn, and Scale
- Bring a test-and-learn orientation to every channel, running experiments across content, assortment, merchandising, and promotional strategies to identify what drives performance.
- Translate learnings into scalable best practices and share insights across the ecommerce and marketing organizations.
- Stay current on the social commerce landscape — platforms, competitors, emerging technologies, and consumer behavior trends — and bring a point of view on where the business should invest next.
You’ll Need to Have:
