Marketing Operations Manager

We’re seeking a technical, finance and revenue-savvy Marketing Operations Manager join the tax services arm of a successful and growing investment portfolio company. Based in Des Moines, they're committed to funding, incubating, and launching companies that help small businesses thrive, from Financial Services to Insurtech and more.
The Marketing Operations Manager will play a crucial role in driving revenue retention, strengthening customer engagement, and supporting post-sales lifecycle initiatives. This position focuses on:
- Marketing initiatives to drive collection on invoiced accounts receivables
- Increasing customer enrollment in tax monitoring services
- Developing automated and manual marketing workflows to improve compliance, retention, and follow-through
Compensation / Benefits

Key Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable & Payment Conversion
- Design and execute communication workflows with Finance and RevOps to drive customer payment completion.
- Build automated reminders, escalations, and follow-up messaging across email, SMS, and phone outreach.
- Analyze payment behavior and recommend improvements to reduce collection timelines.
Tax Monitoring Enrollment Campaigns
- Lead lifecycle strategy and execution for driving adoption of tax monitoring services.
- Develop multi-channel campaigns to educate customers and drive enrollment.
- Create nurturing journeys from awareness to enrollment.
Marketing Operations & Automation
- Manage HubSpot Enterprise and Customer.io for workflow automation and segmentation.
- Maintain data accuracy and lifecycle properties.
- Ensure consistent customer messaging across departments.
Analytics & Reporting
- Track KPIs including collection timelines, conversion rates, and engagement.
- Build dashboards for Finance, RevOps, and leadership.
- Identify customer journey friction and recommend improvements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Finance, Revenue Operations, Customer Success, and Product teams.
- Support initiatives tied to billing, collections, and compliance communications.
Technology Stack
- ERP — Sage Intacct: Invoicing, AR workflows, reconciliation
- CRM — HubSpot Enterprise: Automation, segmentation, lifecycle management, calling, SMS
- Customer.io: Behavioral messaging and multi-channel campaigns
- Stripe & HubSpot Payments: Payment initiation and conversion analytics
- HubSpot Calling + SMS: Customer outreach
Qualifications
Required
- 3+ years in Marketing Operations, Revenue Operations, or Lifecycle Marketing
- Strong experience with CRM and automation tools (HubSpot preferred)
- Analytical abilities and dashboard/report building experience
- Excellent communication and project management skills
Preferred
- Experience in tax services, financial services, SaaS, or similar
- Familiarity with AR processes or payment workflows
- Experience with multi-step lifecycle programs
- Comfort in fast-paced, scaling environments
